Multi-User field - “Group members&users” selection mode – default value: [Members Of: xxx group] Hot

by Lucie Mlynarova on July 19, 2016

Administrator should be able to set any available value as default value for Multi-User field - “Group members&users” selection mode.

Now it is possible to set as default value a specific user/users only.

It is not possible to set value “[Members Of: xxx group]” as default value even if this value can be chosen and set on transition.

Administrator should be able to set value “[Members Of: xxx group]” as default.

I think that this is the only one field type to which is not possible to set available value as default value (in Application Administrator/Projects,…).

  • I see the ability to do this in SBM Application Administrator already, unless I am misunderstanding your request. Perhaps there is confusion due to the fact that Groups do not exist in Composer, and would need to be configured in a run-time environment after a deployment. I apologize if I am missing something.

The team is concerned that this may cause significant performance issues. We'll continue to look into the possibility and update the status of the idea once we have a better idea if a performance efficient design could be created.
