In notification emails, it is normal to provide a url link to the referenced item, however when you have many applications, it is not currently possible to send a user back to their predefined home page for that particular application - only the default app is available, the user will then need to click on the required application tab.

To avoid end user confusion (or very wordy notifications), create a method to generate a url link to the particular application tab. This means that no matter what homepage is set for that user, they will go to their correct view of the world

    I would request just making the default behavior to open in the correct tab, there should no need for a specially-formulated link.
