Auto Refresh on Work Center Hot

by Matthew Frauenhoffer on December 16, 2015

Provide functionality to automatically refresh the work center dashboard at selected intervals.

  • Especially with SSM, when using SBM as a platform for service desk processes, service desk agents like to have their dashboards automatically refresh at a selected interval so they are constantly seeing the latest tickets coming in to their queue. This should be configurable on a user basis, from no refresh to maybe as quick as 2-3 minutes.

This needs to be in the product. I've seen other products that allow widgets to be set at specific refresh intervals. Since, your dashboard views, you've gone to a widget-style interface, something like that would be fantastic.

David, we've used the HTML refresh templates. They work, but they have to be managed globally. I'd much rather give the users control over their own refresh intervals.

We also have had this request. We have. Workarounds where we will display reports in a html frame that refreshes. Not very elegant but ok for some display only scenarios
