Ability to Notify All SBM Users Hot

by Cindy Davis on June 07, 2017

Currently there is no simple way for an SBM Admin to notify all users.

  • Occasionally admins have the need to notify all SBM users, for example, if there is an upcoming outtage. This is especially cumbersome to sites with many thousands of users.

The current method is to copy all the emails from the TS_Users table and send out the information through Outlook or their normal mail server. Outlook has a limitation of 1000 recipients at a time.

It would be useful to have an Admin only option to send an email to all users. This should be something that is normally turned off so that emails cannot accidently be sent.

The other entry has more votes, so I'll mark this as the duplicate. One potential workaround in the product today would be to use headers/footers to display a quick message to users who log in.

Totally agree, it is a short coming if this functionality is not available. I would imagine fairly easy to implement given the notification server and the fact that users email addresses can be stored with their user record.
